Lowenstein Sandler has been named one of Crain’s 2019 Best Places to Work in New York City in the large-companies category (those with over 101 employees in the city). The Crain’s list is an annual ranking of 100 employers that demonstrate a “commitment to creating a supportive, collegial, and empowering workplace.” Of the 38 employers in our category, Lowenstein was one of only five law firms included. The numerical rankings for each group were announced at a celebratory luncheon on Friday, December 6, and published in the December 9 issue of Crain’s New York Business.
“It is an honor to be recognized for the second year in a row by Crain’s New York Business for creating a rewarding, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for our attorneys and staff,” said Gary M. Wingens, Lowenstein’s Chair and Managing Partner. “As our presence in the New York City region continues to grow in both size and stature, we are proud of our success in maintaining and living by the core values that make Lowenstein a true community.”
“We are thrilled that our firm continues to distinguish itself in the highly competitive New York City market as an employer of choice,” said Lowenstein Chief Human Resources Officer Donatella Verrico. “Separate and apart from our employee wellness programs, competitive compensation, exciting and challenging work, purposeful mentorship and sponsorship, and diversified benefits, our distinct culture also contributes to our high employee retention, which results in top-caliber service for clients.”
Crain’s, in partnership with Best Companies Group, surveyed more than 20,000 employees working in the five boroughs on such topics as working conditions, benefits, and corporate culture, and they evaluated the results with responses from a separate employer survey. The ranked companies represent a range of industries, including consulting, engineering, finance, law, and technology.
