Steven E. Siesser, partner, Chair of Lowenstein’s Private Equity practice and Co-Chair of the Transactions & Advisory Group, comments in The Deal on the current scrutiny private equity firms are receiving from Washington for their M&A strategies and the time-tested tactic they are using to cross the finish line: withdrawing and resubmitting transaction paperwork to federal enforcers.
